When I was 8 years old I was introduced to Bruce Lee and his philosophy of martial arts he called "Jeet Kune Do" which in Cantonese means the way of the intercepting fist. Lee's book delved into his approach in more detail and one thing that stuck with me was his expression: "be like water"... since it is adaptable. Being adaptable, whether in martial arts or life, is necessary to respond to change.
